Abstraction
I love to take the vital elements of a
scene and encapsulate them in an abstracted form. I use blocks of colour
and shape, which I hope create an enjoyable painting in itself. Those
who are familiar with the area depicted in the painting, however, will
be able to recognise the landmarks and buildings contained therein. Many
of my recent works have centred on the vibrant area of the
Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside.
